Pizzeria Vaccaro has with no doubt the great merit of making one of the best pizza in Tramonti, and since we first went there we have become regular customers! We can assure you that Gennaro Vaccaro's skillful hands have "always" prepared an excellent pizza!
The seasoning changes...but the baking and the delicacy are always the same! Gennaro Vaccaro's pizza is absolutely beyond any comparison! We have tasted the wide variety of pizzas on the list, from the most traditional one, like "margherita" or "marinara", to the most sophisticated, including the so called "schiacciata", "calzone" −filled with mozzarella cheese and ham - and the "pizza Vesuvio" (with fior di latte and Parma ham in the middle).
The freshness of all the ingredients is guaranteed: some of them (such as "fior di latte" and other dairy products) are produced by local farms and others (like vegetables) are grown in by Vaccaro in the kitchen garden. .....You can't miss the "crocchette" made with potatoes (biological agriculture by Mr Gennaro).
And what about the delicious home made cakes prepared by Mrs Luisa, Gennaro's wife. Our favourite desserts are the apple pie and the babà! But we also love the "caprese" (with chocolate and almonds), the cake made with pistachio nuts or with chestnuts, as well as the fruit cake and the sponge cake.
Don't make the mistake to drink beer or a gassy drink with Gennaro's pizza. Gennaro homemade wine is the must and you will certainly appreciate it and see the reason why Tramonti is well known as "the town of the best pizza and the best wine!
