A Sunrise that Paints the Amalfi Coast

The first ways of morning light ignite Amalfi, Atrani and the magic of the coast

A breathtaking aerial shot by Carlo De Felice captures the sunlight at dawn as it illuminates Amalfi, Atrani, and their beaches, embracing Castiglione, Scala, and Ravello. A natural masterpiece celebrating the beauty of the Amalfi Coast

Written by (Massimiliano D'Uva), Sunday, January 26, 2025 2:53:40 PM

The beauty of the Amalfi Coast never ceases to amaze, but there are moments when nature seems to outdo itself. This is the case with this stunning aerial shot, taken at dawn by Vietri-born photographer and entrepreneur Carlo De Felice, capturing the magic of the first light of day as it gently touches the coastline.

As the sun rises from the east, its rays gradually illuminate Amalfi and Atrani, revealing the splendor of their beaches and narrow streets, awakening under a golden light. Castiglione, Scala, and Ravello, with their terraces and hillsides, stand majestically in the background, painted in the warm tones of the morning.

"The first rays of sunlight begin to illuminate Amalfi and Atrani from the East", writes Carlo De Felice, the artist behind the shot, on his CDF Photography Facebook page, describing a moment that takes your breath away. The photograph captures not only a landscape but also an atmosphere, a unique emotion that only the Amalfi Coast can offer.
